My life journey

Formal education

NHyD - University of Valencia

(2015 - )

Other than getting a grasp of how public education works, nothing very remarkable. I try to challenge the status quo and organize a nationwide scientific comite to peer-review the quality of what is taught all across the different universities in Spain. After some months spent traveling back and forth to the different cities that offer the degree in Spain I slowly abandon the idea. Lack of commitment of the students and my own inexperience undermined the effort.

Along the way I get in touch with some of the best science related speakers and enter my field’s professional sphere. I start to write for one of the greatest health-related blogs of Spain. My research skills, critical thinking and communication explode.

Entrepreneurship

The Valhalla Community

(2016 - 2019)

I start to offer consultation and coaching services to those reading my articles. Gradually more people ask me for health consultations and I create my first startup with four business associates: a psychologyst, a pharmaceutic, a trainer and a designer.

Having a portfolio of clients and a team gave me an opportunity to develop leadership and organizational skills (which I totally lacked before this adventure, by the way).

I also learnt about scalability. There were some structural problems within the company and I dropped the idea of commiting myself with a business that couldn’t ever have grown to a point where I felt comfortable with the social impact and revenue generated.

Yep, wasn’t going to be the next Google…

Digital business

SEO and marketing

(2019 - 2021)

The digital business boom that arises mid 2019 makes me wonder new possibilities and I put in the work to make myself useful in the field. Soon I’m monetizing a niche website via Amazon affiliates and working with trainers and dietitians that I met previously, helping them to establish their brand online and expand themselves.

I really get into the SEO world and start to comprehend the utmost importance of how content is planified, organised and presented.

I partner with a social ads expert and together we run a profitable dropshipping site while taking care of a private clinic rebranding and marketing. Along the way we gave a lecture at Universidad Politécnica de Valencia to marketing students about XXI century marketing and digitalisation.

These couple of years I have much more spare time thanks to working from home. Also my 8 years previous romantic relationship ends. The circumstamces were just the right ones to stop and reflect upon myself. I hadn’t really stopped since I was 17 years old, and back then I was 22. So, I read. A lot. And meditated. And tried some shrooms (golden teacher, what a good naming!). And breathed. For the first time in my life I discovered what being alive meant: being present.

I was feeling again the boiling need to learn new things and advance in my career. And this time was going to be different. I took a more thorough approach. It was time to learn from others who already were in the same path I wanted to walk.

Startup ecosystem

Lanzadera (Gloop) and ILERNA

(2021 - 2022)

I enroll in a distance degree at Finance and Administration and start my internship at Lanzadera, the startup accelerator owned by Juan Roig, at Valencia. I work for Gloop, an edible cutlery startup whose prime objective is ending with one-time plastic use.

During this time I develop skills related to sales and CRM software, I start to learn about datascience and solidify my leadership skills as I conduct a small sales team of 3 people. Meanwhile I reformulate our product and make good use of my research skills to pave our way to the best edible spoon of the world.
